This interlock switch is designed to be installed on a machine guard door. It provides greater security and stability as it has the reliability of non-contact switches and a high tolerance to door misalignment.The 440N-G02085 Ferrogard Non-Contact Interlock Switch has 2NC safety contacts, rectangular FRS20 housing, and a 4m cable. It has a switching capability of 24 Vdc, 1A. This switch is ideal for use in wet environments as it has an environmental protection rating of IP67. The operating temperature range is -10 to +55 °C (+14…+131 °F) and the housing material is made of moulded ABS plastic in red. The operating distance for this switch is 12mm (make), 23mm (break). All Ferrogards have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact.How it works: The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contact which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run while the guard is open, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area.
