The LED lighting used has a service life of approx. 50,000 hours. The included AA batteries are easy to change and the magnifier has a handy eyelet on the end of the handle for round-the-neck-cord. A third, attachable transparent filter bundles the light and increases the luminous intensity by up to 40%.
