The CURT trailer safety chain hanger bracket saves your trailer chains from scraping and dragging on the ground. It quickly and securely bolts onto a 2 in. hitch shank and provides 2 steel hooks to hang the safety chains up off the ground when connected to the vehicle. The hanger hooks are also designed to fail if needed to ensure proper safety chain function in the event of a vehicle-trailer disconnect. The hanger hooks can also easily be bent back into shape to be ready to use again. Installing this safety chain hanger bracket is simple. Just bolt it onto the shank of your existing 2 in. x 2 in. ball mount (1-1/8 in. clearance required between mount and hitch receiver tube).
