The OPT118 is powered by a KOHLER Command PRO CH270 7 HP 208 cc engine. It's equipped with a direct drive chain trencher that travels at 180 ft/min to create 18-inch deep by 4-inch wide channels using its 3/8-inch plow plates and 21 quick-change carbide alloy high-pressure tri-cut teeth that run at 400 RPM. And to ensure a cleaner operation, the OPT118 is equipped with a 6-inch side off-loading auger that removes dirt from the channel. This machine also features a heavy-duty steel construction, adjustable handle with a release and stop safety hand grip, and 15-inch 6.00-6 wheels with auto-lock in reverse capability.
